Mission

ADWR’s Hydrology Division performs a variety of activities in support of the Office of the Director, other ADWR Divisions and the public. The Division's main responsibilities include:

Collecting geophysical data and managing the statewide groundwater level monitoring program

Conducting hydrologic assessments and quantifying statewide water resources information to aid in future planning

Developing groundwater flow models and predictive water use scenarios in support of water management policies and decisions

The Groundwater Modeling Section provides support in making water management decisions by developing groundwater models, performing GIS analysis of hydrologic data, and publishing related reports.

Groundwater Modeling Section

The Field Services Section provides support in making water management decisions by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting hydrologic data. This section is comprised of the Basic Data Unit and the Geophysics/Surveying Unit.
